Dr Paul Coughlan MB BCh, BAO, DCCH, MRCGP, FRACGP, FACRRM, M.Fam.Med(Clin), Grad. Dip Integrative Med.(Swinburne)
Dr Coughlan has been with the practice since 1991. Special interests in Medical Education, Sports Medicine and Medical Acupuncture,
Dr Theekshana Dissanayake: MBBS; FRACGP
Dr Dissanayake completed his undergraduate training in Sri Lanka and has worked as a GP since 2002. He has also completed a diploma in counselling. He passed his AMC exams in 2005 and in 2006 he migrated to Australia. He worked at the Sir Charles Gairdiner Hospital in Perth. On obtaining his general registration he worked as a GP in Ocean Grove, before joining this practice in January 2008.
He has special interests in mental health, child health and skin cancers.
His special interests are aged care/psychiatry/ adolescent health.
Dr K. ‘Sajeewani’ Fernando: MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Fernando completed undergraduate training in Sri Lanka. She has worked in state hospitals and as a GP since 2000. Dr Fernando has been with this Practice since 2011.
Her special interests are Age care, Paediatric, Women’s health and mental health.
Dr Aneela Ilyas: MBBS
Dr Ilyas was born and educated in Dubai. She graduated in Pakistan. She moved to the area in 2010 and started working at the Latrobe Regional Hospital before joining the Practice.
Her special interests are women’s health, pediatrics’, mental health and Dermatology.
Dr Fady Tawfik: MB BCh
Dr Tawfik completed his undergraduate training in Egypt. After coming to Australia, he started working at Western Health hospitals in Melbourne. After that he moved to Traralgon to work as a Senior Emergency HMO at Latrobe Regional Hospital. He joined our clinic in July 2013.
His special interests are Emergency medicine, Paediatrics and Aged Care.
Dr Mariam Estfanous:MB BCh
Dr Estfanous completed her undergraduate training in Egypt in 2007 and she worked as a GP since. She moved to Australia in 2011 passing the AMC exam in 2012. She joined our Practice in 2013.
Her special interests are women’s health, paediatrics and aged care.
Being an accredited training practice from time to time we will be visited by medical students on their rural rotation. When a student is at the practice, office staff will do their best to inform you at the time of making your appointment. If you give permission for the student to be present during your consultation, you will be asked to sign a consent form.
